Assisted Living II Activities

Our goal is to continually strive to meet the residents’ needs in all areas affecting their quality of life.  Our programs vary to include stimulation in the following ways: Physical, Cognitive, Social, Emotional, Psychological, Spiritual, Sensory, Cultural, Educational, Creative, Leadership, Past Role Identification, Reminiscence, and Relaxation.  We also have specialty programs catered to those with Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease.

1:1 Visits
Person-centered based and for those residents whose participation falls below 1/3 of their time or on an “as needed” basis for behavior issues related to Dementia (such as those exhibiting signs of anxiousness or restlessness).  We also provide resources for those individuals who prefer the comfort of their own rooms for independent leisure opportunities.

A Typical Day

8:00 -9:30 am  Breakfast Time & Morning Greetings

10:00  Exercise in a group or 1:1 setting
10:30  Matters of the Mind (variety of cognitive stimulating programs such as Bingo, Trivia, Crossword Puzzle Groups, etc.)
11:00  Creative/Expression activities such as Arts & Crafts, Cooking, Watercolor Class, etc.

12:00-1:30 Lunch Time

2:00  Residents choice of activity
2:45 Active Games such as Bingo, Bunco, Yahtzee; Live Entertainment/Socials;
         Leadership Programs such as Resident Council Meeting; or Administrator’s Tea
         
3:30  Cognitive Games/Activities

4 :00  1:1 Visits

4:30-6:00  Dinner
